However, I'm now running into a problem which is growing in size, just as our site is growing...

We are receiving a large number of messages through the system from one student to another, with the excitement and expectation of being able to 'touch base' with old friends we havn't seen in years or even decades. This is great,

EXCEPT,

about half of the messages are not reaching the other person !!!

You can imagine how disappointing it is to send a message to someone you havn't seen in years - maybe someone you've been searching for over the years - and never receive a reply from them.

Maybe you have had this happen. Or, what if someone tried to contact you but couldn't?

There could be several causes for this:

• The mail has 'bounced' because the person has changed their email address and not informed us of the change.
• The person has something filtering their email (MSN and AOL mail are really bad for this) so they never receive it.

As this site grows larger, we have to have some way to control these issues in the best interest in everyone using the site. Therefore, the following changes are being made:

• Once every 60-90 days, this site is going to send an automatic email to the email address we have on file for you.
• If the email 'bounces', your profile will be removed from the website.
• If you fail to reply to the email (if asked), your profile will be removed from the website.

This way, we can keep things current for everyone, and avoid a lot of the disappointment of undelivered messages which seems to be happening now.

SOLUTIONS:

• If you have 'filters' on your email, make sure they are set up to allow all mail from both
  pennington-high-school.com AND penningtonhighschool.com
• If your email address has changed since you did your profile, then send an email to: letting us know. Be sure to include the name you used in school, along with the class year.

  Understand your contact information will never be rented or sold to any outside companies, including any sponsers of this website.
