ABOUT ME:
Well, after 5 years of less-than-stellar academic performance at PHS, I decided to make up for lost time. I managed (by the grace of God and my SAT score) to get into a good college, and attended various graduate schools thereafter.

I'm putting the final touches on my Ph.D, while teaching a gazillion writing classes a year. Music is still pretty important to me, so I find time to give guitar lessons and play in a local classic rock band. I have a pretty decent home recording studio, which is where I can be found when not grading freshman essays. Lately, I've started to pursue freelance writing for various guitar magazines, as if I'm not busy enough.

WHERE I LIVE NOW:
Allen, TX
OTHER PLACES I'VE LIVED:
Bristol; Charlottesville; Princeton
CURRENT INTERESTS:

WORK/CAREER:
College Professor
HOBBIES:
Hmmm...I hate to call music my hobby because it's more of a part of who I am rather than, I don't know, collecting stamps or larvae or something like that. I'd say computers are my biggest hobby. I have a couple of Macs that I use for just about everything. I use them for writing and recording music mostly, but I'm always online for one reason or another.
FAMILY:
Still some family in Lee County and various other places. My folks passed away some time ago, which is probably the main reason why I don't go back.

After 36 years of bachelorhood, I surrended to the joys of matrimony. I have wonderful wife, Deanna Lea, with whom I'm thrilled to share my life.

PETS:
Deanna and I have an adorable Soft-Coated Wheaton Terrier named Lucy who is cute but impish. We also have a wonderful little hamster named Daisy.
MEMORIES:
I'd say now my happiest memories are of hanging out with Chris Rowe, Brian Stewart, and Mark Smith our senior year. We kept Loretta's Cafe in business that year, if I remember correctly. I also remember me and Chris cruising in my new Z24. I kept that car for FOURTEEN years before it finally gave up the ghost, by the way. It was held together with chewing gum and scotch tape when I finally traded it in :-)

I also learned a lot my senior year from former band director Bob Lile. I wish I had spent more time in music and less with football...who would've thought that?

My least favorite memory was when a certain teacher (who shall remain nameless) said in front of an entire class that I 'shouldn't bother going to college' because I wouldn't make it. Hmmm...she sure missed that one ;-)

Random Quotes and Thoughts
The best thing to give to your enemy is forgiveness; to an opponent, tolerance; to a friend, your heart; to your child, a good example; to a father, deference; to your mother, conduct that will make her proud of you; to yourself, respect; to all men, charity.
