ABOUT ME: Name Now: Debrah Tanner I still have several illnesses that knock me down when they can but they can't keep me down that is for sure. All of your prayers would be greatly appreciated. I keep busy with school, hobbies and my family. My dad died in March 2003 of a major heart attack, and I am still adjusting to that. I have gotten more involved in things I believe in and do a lot of volunteer work for various causes. I really have not changed to much personality wise. To those I hung out with you know that could be good or bad depending on the day I was having. I would really like to always be able to be the person I would like to be. Since I graduated I lost two of my best friends in Car accidents. Kevin Bowen and my dearest Diana Hall. I deal will that loss every day, and I would like to reconnect with some of my other special friends. Deadra Blevins, Mary Kegley, Vonda, Jeff Green, Lisa Fee Mary Tritt, Moleetha Kegley I hope they are all doing well. God Bless you all. This Web Site is wonderful. Hope to hear from you soon. WHERE I LIVE NOW: Kingsport, TN OTHER PLACES I'VE LIVED: Tenn., Va. Beach, Rhodes Island, Boston CURRENT INTERESTS: WORK/CAREER: Self employed, Writer and Student HOBBIES: *reading *sewing *crafts *music *little and minor league baseball games *track events *crocheting *Band concerts *orchestra concerts *choir concerts *writing and publishing books and poetry *scrapbooking *spending time with my family *painting *volunteering with boyscouts, the kids school and other areas of interest for me. FAMILY: I am married to a wonderful man who served in the Navy for 10 years. We have traveled a great deal and had a wonderful time. He is now in college to become a technology teacher, and I am in college to become an elementary school teacher. We have two wonderful boys that keep us busy and blessed every day. Both boys are very musically inclined, talented and smart(traits I am sure came from their father). PETS: We have a dog, cat, iguana, 2 birds, a tank full of fish, and a hampster. MEMORIES: Some of my favorite teachers that I miss and think of daily are: My wonderful and caring Art teacher Ms. Davidson, Mrs. Rasnic, Mrs. Murphree, Mrs. Rosenbaum, Mr. Perdue, Both Mrs. and Ms. Walton, Luther T. Stewart, and a wonderful one that gave me confidence in math Lisa Brewer-what a champ she was to me. In elementary school I miss Mrs. Strickland, Mr.Ely, and The Absolute blessing of my life MRS.LOU CARSON. She was the most important role model I could have ever had. I am the person I am today because of her love and dedication, and her interest in me. I wish every child could have a Mrs. Carson in their lives. Diana loved her as much as I did as well. Memories, screaming in the hall, school assemblies, football games, most embarrasing *fighting in the girls locker room while changing and Coach Blevins having to break us up, Mrs. Gardner's typing class, and my favorite of all Ms. Davidson's Art class and field trips to Gatlinburg every year. Between her classes and her trips and her love for her students you could not have had a better class. *my least favorite momory was my 11th grade history teacher (Mrs. Hatmaker I believe was her name) gave us the assignment of doing a report after interviewing Vietnam Veteran's and the pain I saw in those men's eyes with just the mention of the word. My other memories that were hard or bad memories were loosing Mrs. Howard after she had just helped me understand loosing my grandfather, and Jan Cooke being Severly injured in a car accident. My two favorite bus drivers were Jody and Herman Greer (who were both #1 bus drivers by the way!)Finally I loved the Art Clubs halloween party, and being on the student representative Board that made the decisions for the teen center. |

I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you're licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what. Harper Lee (1926 - ), To Kill a Mockingbird, 1960 |
