ABOUT ME: After graduation from PHS, I obtained a Bachelor's degree from Clinch Valley College (now University of Virginia's College at Wise). WHERE I LIVE NOW: Atlanta, GA OTHER PLACES I'VE LIVED: Wise County, Richmond CURRENT INTERESTS: WORK/CAREER: Consultant HOBBIES: No time for hobbies… too much work to do. But I'm in a 12-step program for work-a-holics. *g* FAMILY: My family is spread throughout the South. For those who are interested… My mother Gracie Burgan Smallwood (remarried) lives in Lee County as do my brothers Michael and Richard. Teresa remarried (thank god she ditched her first one) and is now happily married and enjoying life in Florida. My oldest brother Willard lives in North Carolina. My sister Patricia (Trish) died of cancer in 1988. We miss her dearly. PETS: After having German Shepherds (and other mutts) most of my life… city living isn't kind to such large animals… I've opted for a jack russel terrier. Annie (as in Orphan Annie -- she's a pound rescue). MEMORIES: Had a handful of people I would consider my friends (although I havn't kept in touch with them)… Joe Sutton, Sharon (Hilton) Penley, Evonne Miles, Shannon Johnson, Richie Carter (nut)… and others. And most of my fondest memories were of some of the instructors... in particular Ms. Mullins (who is no doubt cringing at society's adoption of informal writing in mail and websites like this *g*), Ms. Livesay, Ms. Rasnick... and of course, Ms. Howard. |
