ABOUT ME:
Name Now: Margi Travis

I became a RN in 1987 and worked in area hospitals and at a nursing home before taking a job with John Deere Health (now UnitedHealth Care) in Kingsport. I have been there for almost 14 years, the latest 5 1/2 years as a Special Investigator. I have worked with attorneys in the area as a Legal Nurse Consultant as well.

I graduated from Milligan in 2005 with my bachelors in Business Administration. I hope one day to pursue my masters in either Business or Health Care Administration.

WHERE I LIVE NOW:
Jonesville
OTHER PLACES I'VE LIVED:

CURRENT INTERESTS:

WORK/CAREER:
Special Investigator
HOBBIES:
Surfing the internet, playing the piano when I get a chance. Shopping, unfortunately for Wayde. Its hard to have many hobbies when you are going to/in/coming from Kingsport 10-11 hours a day.
FAMILY:
I married a wonderful Jonesville High School graduate (can you believe it?), Wayde Travis in 1990. God blessed us with no children-He does know what He is doing, but we have become home for several stray cats- each have their very own personalitys.

My parents are both alive, thankfully, and live in Jonesville now. My brother Beau passed away on Thanksgiving eve of 2005 from brain cancer and I miss him terribly. My brother Sandy and his wife Jan (Lawson) live in Jonesville (how did this happen?) If you are in Rose Hill, stop by Sandy's Pizza Plus- it will be the best pizza you ate. Mike is the business manager at WRSP in BSG-I don't think you want to stop by his place. My nephew Jamie works for MS technolgy in Oak Ridge and is married to Hannah Newman who is a pharmacist in Knoxville. Kris has a wonderful rambunctious little boy-Kaleb, Jessica attends UVA-Wise and Tyler is at Powell Valley.

PETS:
MY cats are Screech, Abby, Zoe, Barney and Slate. The strays are Wonder, Mama, Black and White, Bigg'n and Crybaby. Someone at work said that if I have named them, they are't strays. Oh well. I have one beautiful red Golder Retriever, Lacie who likes to dig when there are thunderstorms.
MEMORIES:
My bad:-( opening my big mouth about how bad our football team was doing when I was in the 8th grade-mia culpa. Beau was sooo mad at me. But I got to laugh at him in the next few weeks when he was a candidate for the womanless homecoming queen. Beau wore a bikini (mine ;-( and boots, along with a nasty looking wig. I think Omer stopped that from happening the next year.

My good:-) Everything Sheila Rhea and I ever did was fun; we about lost our voices screaming 'sacrifice that body' during intramural volleyball and basketball games. We even made up our routine in the bleaches, and had our own secret code for our notes to each other. Cheering at the football games and cheerleading camp, being the mascot was a blast, driving the first time, and decorating for the prom as Juniors are a few I hold dear as all the memories I have of Leanna Rasnic.

Random Quotes and Thoughts
The best thing to give to your enemy is forgiveness; to an opponent, tolerance; to a friend, your heart; to your child, a good example; to a father, deference; to your mother, conduct that will make her proud of you; to yourself, respect; to all men, charity.
