ABOUT ME:
I graduated from Emory and Henry College in 1986 with a BA in Economics and Accounting. I married Delores Wells on March 14, 1988. We now have four children ages 19 (Stephanie), 10 (Abbie), 10 (Sarah), and 8 (Aleksander). I worked in the mines for a few years after college and I worked as a law clerk for a year. I was approved for the Virginia Reading Law program in the fall of 1988 before I finally decided to enter law school at Regent University in the Fall of 1989. I graduated with a Juris Doctor in May 1992. I passed the bar moved back to Norton, Virginia to join the firm of Wolfe and Farmer (now known as Wolfe, Williams and Rutherford). I have been there ever since. I practice in the areas of Social Security Disability, Virginia State Workers' Compensation and Federal Black Lung Benefits.
WHERE I LIVE NOW:
Norton, Virginia
OTHER PLACES I'VE LIVED:
St. Charles, VA; Virginia Beach, VA
CURRENT INTERESTS:

WORK/CAREER:
Attorney
HOBBIES:
I love to go boating and camping. Southholston Lake is beautiful in the Spring and Summer. I like building things. I actually assembled computers and sold them on Ebay for a while, mostly for the fun of it. I like restoring old cars. Most of all I enjoy reading. Stephen King and J.R.R. Tolkien are great.
FAMILY:
My family is wonderful. I married my wife, Delores Wells, on May 14, 1988. We have a daughter, Stephanie, who turned 20 on March 21, 2005. After finishing two years of college she entered the Navy during the first week of June 2005. I have a set of twins as well, Abby and Sarah. They will turn eleven years old on June 30, 2005. Sarah made a perfect score this year on her science SOLs and just received a thank you in the mail from her teacher. Good for her! The twins will be in the sixth grade this fall at Norton Elementary School. My youngest child is a son, Aleksander Tobias. He was born on November 11, 1996 and will be in the 3rd grade this fall. Aleksander plays little league baseball and football. He says he is not currently interested in girls, but turns red when Megan gets close to him so I know better. My family is everything to me now. I am still here because of them.
PETS:
I have two long hair female cats that are lovable. I also have a male long hair cat that I finally made friends with during the last few weeks.
MEMORIES:
When I think about PHS I tend to think about my friends rather than any specific memories of events. I was very shy during my first few high school years, so I did not make many friends. It took the attention of a certain young lady during my later high school years to bring me out of my shell. That is the time when I became who I am today. This was an important time for me. I learned many things that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

On the lighter side, however, I do remember Tony D. and our habit of skipping school together in tenth grade and the time that we left school in his brother's Camaro. While we were out Doug G. mooned a college girl out the car window on the four lane that we had never met before and she pulled over to talk to us...go figure......it must have been his figure.

I remember how we used to terrorize Mrs. Chance. I am deeply ashamed of those memories. Sorry, Mrs. Chance. I remember a few times when arguments came to blows with people that were really my friends. I remember Mr. Cox telling us about his wife, his socks, and how our misconduct resulted in the waste of time. I would leave his office feeling more confused than punished. Perhaps the confusion was part of the punishment with him? I remember how we all loved to go to the library during study hall. Most of all I remember the feeling of absolute freedom.........that freedom you have before you grow up and take on the responsibility of working and taking care of a family.
