HOBBIES:
Following my daughter and her sports teams. A lot of our classmates childdrens are friends and play on the teams together.
FAMILY:
I lost my wonderful loving husband John (class of '77) unexpectedly on August 12, 2003. He died at home of a massive heart attack. We would have celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary on August 18th.

We have 2 daughters.

Alicia Haynes-Satterfield, age 22, was married on July 5, 2003 and here and her husband, Eric, are both teadchers here in Lee County.

Our youngest daughter Krista is a sophomore at Lee High and very athletic (like her dad...red hair and all.)

The web site I recommended tells about Lee High School Sports and Krista usually gets mentioned there during basketball, softball, and track season. John was very proud of her. He was also very proud of Alicia, who graduated from Lee High and Emory and Henry College with honros. She is expecting our grandson in June. He will be named John Allen Satterfield.

UPDATE:My grandaughter Kyndal Leigh Satterfield, born August 15, 2007.

UPDATE: Lil Johnny was born June 17,2004. Also my daughter Krista has graduated Lee High and attends Emory and Henry College where she plays on the Womens Basketball team.

PETS:
None. We live too close to the road….in a house that John's grandparents lived in, as some of you my remember!`
MEMORIES:
Aggravating poor sweet Mrs. Kelly. Mrs. Rasnic sneezing and shaking the whole building. Advanced PE with Danny Newman and Bo Catron as our teachers---we had a blast everyday. Riding on the basketball bus to games. Cheerleading with Lisa, Patty, Liz, Billie, Cathy and Lois. donna Kirk (I love you)...saying 'eat a booger'. You just had to have been there for it to be funny. going to STATE to watch the football team. Remember 'bun chekcs'??? and when John, Randy coleman (He is a millionaire now folks, no kidding), Bill, Howard, Barry and the other guys lifted Lisa Wynn's volkswagon and put it on the front porch of the school. Lots and lots of other things but I'm getting too old to remember...Also, I just wanted to thank all of you who came to the funeral home and for everything you did to help my family.
