(Share Your Memories Of John)

John passed away of an apparent heart attack while at home with his daughter on August 12, 2003. John was a Sergeant in the US Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1981. He moved back to Lee County in 1981 with his wife Jackie. He has 2 daughters (Alicia Haynes-Satterfield and Krista) and is expecting a grandson in June. He will always be remembered as a loving husband and father and a true friend to all who knew him.

Random Thoughts/Quotes: 'It is with true love as it is with ghosts; everyone talks about it but few have ever seen it.' I have.

The passing of John was the biggest shock that I have ever experienced. John was the best and only brother-in-law that I could ever have, and he was also my #1 computer man! He always took care of my sister and their girls, and no matter what I did to my computer John was always there to fix it....Laughing and shaking his head at me! Those memories of John I will never forget, but 'one sweet day' we can share more memories when we meet again.

There could never be a more special person than John Haynes. John was my most trusted and closest friend. We grew up together, fought football battles together, and remained close as we both started families and lives of our own. No matter the situation, John was someone I could ALWAYS count on. I will always miss John as a 'brother' and true friend. I consider myself lucky to have known this special person. John was the 'CLASS' in our class of '77.

John was a special person to all who knew him. I never heard a harsh word come out of his mouth. I was so saddened to hear of his passing. Such a great loss to his family and friends. I can still hear him say, 'How are you T?' May you rest in peace! Love Tammy
