ABOUT ME: Name Now: Shirley Poe Daniel has been ill with kidney disease for the past two years and we plan our schedule around that. We do some traveling which doesn't take us too far away from home. We have a good life in spite of this. I am blessed with good health. WHERE I LIVE NOW: Jonesville, VA OTHER PLACES I'VE LIVED: Columbus, Ohio from 1954 to 2001 CURRENT INTERESTS: WORK/CAREER: Retired Hospital Admin. Assistant HOBBIES: Traveling, reading, genealogy. I am also a collector - books from specific authors, baskets and miniature houses. FAMILY: I have been married to Daniel Poe for four years (Daniel and I dated in high school). I have three children, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. My son and a granddaughter are lawyers in Cleveland, Ohio. One daughter and family live in Greenville, SC and another daughter and family live in Harrisburg, PA. PETS: I have a 9 year-old Pembroke Corgi named Tasha and a cat named Pepper, who is 21 years old. They are my kids. MEMORIES: Everything! My high school years were very good. My cousin Patsy Smith and I were inseparable (Patsy passed away last year). I was on the staff of the Monthly Splash with great friends. Mrs. McFarland was a favorite teacher. |
